clinical

today i had clinical just like every other week except today i was given two patients. i'm only used to one but it went really well. my two patients were in the same room and easy going. they were not demanding at all. i love when people are not demanding. tomorrow i get my midterm evaluation. i'm not too worried. i think i'm doing well. i also got to go to renal rounds today. this is where doctors, nutritionist, physiotherapists, ocupational therapists, social workers, and nurses get together and discuss the care plan of those patients who have kidney (renal) diseases. it's interesting when they talk about your patient but when it's other patients i find that i don't pay attention. then when i was leaving clinical i took the elevator and there was a resident from the veterans wing already in the elevator. usually i don't make conversation with strangers but today i did. i said hi to the resident. he asked me where i was going and i said one floor up. i asked him if he was going there too, since we were currently in the basement. he said he didn't know where he was going. thankfully there were staff waiting for the elevator when i got out so i directed them to him. it doesn't seem right that our last years on earth should be confusing.
